Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Grants Finance Manager for our Ukraine Crisis Response, you will ensure grant budgets are appropriate, that grant financial reports are accurate and timely, and that the Response complies with donor requirements. You will assist with overall program budgeting and ensure the operational plan is funded.

Your major responsibilities will include:

  • Grants / Projects Financial Management and Reporting
  • Risk Management: Office in compliance with WVI policies, donors’ regulations, and reduced grant risk exposure.
  • Team Management: Staff capacity built for effective grants implementation.
  • Safety and Security

Requirements include:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
  • Strong competency in proposal & report writing, monitoring and budgeting skills.
  • Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel: 20% Domestic/international travel may be required.
  • Willingness to travel and work extensively – sometimes at short notice, in difficult places, and under long hours – according to a results-based approach.
