Business Analysis

Responsibilities:

• A superuser with Excel and ERP platforms – personally able to develop and write reports to extract and then analyze data from multiple platforms, including SQL/Crystal/BI type reports
• Ability to identify, understand and explain drivers for the current business results/ forecasts by engaging with business partners and data mining ERP/BI system or identify root causes for performance variances.
• Undertake business modelling for major projects and business initiatives, as well as analysis of profit margins by business stream, product and customer
• Continually improving analytical tools with ability to support stakeholders in the business understand their function or business segment, including designing dashboards for performance measurement and management
• Undertake tactical and strategic analysis to support business decisions or major investments such as Capital Investment and Pricing Proposals.

Group Reporting

• Provides insightful analysis and commentary on submitted results & forecasts, explaining drivers of the results and the impact on commercial and business operations.
• Proactively anticipates results, providing early warning alerts to changes in business performance to ensure a “no surprises” environment and to help promote action when applicable.
• Prepares simple concise presentation ready analysis and reports that communicate key messages clearly in an easy to assimilate format.
• Streamlines reporting processes and looks for opportunities to improve reporting tools leading to improved efficiency and a reduction of duplication
• Oversees updates to the rolling forecast, interim forecasts and annual budgets
• Manages the message in weekly sales updates, cashflow forecasts etc.

Financial Accounting

• Ability to understand Financial Accounts and comfortably reconcile Management to Statutory Accounts to ensure “one version of the truth”
• Supports integration of new acquisitions into the group reporting and ERP migrations
• Supports site Capital Investment proposals when required
• Ability to prepare a robust cash flow forecast with dependable accuracy.

Profile:

• Graduate Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in FP&A
• At a least 5 years managing the function in an International business
• A strong communicator and team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills who can cut through the detail and pinpoint the key issues and impacts. Able to convey messages clearly in simple PowerPoint slides to non-financial as well as financial stakeholders.
• Experience of working outside Group HQ environments. Someone with hands on experience in a business on the front line supporting local teams with real selling, purchasing, or manufacturing issues.
• A demonstrated problem solver with a can do mentality. Someone who is self-motivated, with energy and drive to go the extra mile and take the lead on assignments, who anticipates the needs of all stakeholders and deliver highly quality presentation ready analysis or reports.
• Someone with resilience, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with change, tight schedules, and deadlines to deliver results.
• Someone who can challenge and support teams in equal measure.
• Strong IT and financial analytical skills. The “Go To Person” for stakeholders needing help to extract data from any ERP / BI system. Power BI expérience is essential.
