Job Description

  • Acquire, maintain and interpret up-to-date knowledge of funding and federal programs and submission

deadlines for grant funding opportunities.

  • Advise and assist faculty and staff in preparing grants and contracts budgets and documents for submission.
  • Review applications for sponsored programs submitted from the campus for compliance with University and

sponsor regulations.

  • Review grant and contract proposals for adherence to University fiscal and administrative policies concerning

budgets, use of resources, human and animal experimentations, etc., suggest revisions and forward for

campus approval.

  • Advise and assist recipients of grants in meeting performance, reporting and accounting requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports for pre and post award grants and contracts.
  • Maintain research correspondence for pre and post award grants and contracts.
  • Provide information regarding grants and contracts to inquiring campus faculty, staff and students, School of

Medicine and Campus Office of Research.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Salary

Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Salary Range: $15.29 – $26.11/ hour

Grade: GGS 007

Shift

Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Exact shift to be determined.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Six months to one year of related grants experience. Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is required with knowledge of PeopleSoft, advanced skills in Excel, MS office applications and a working knowledge of adobe acrobat.
