The USAID-funded Clean Cities Blue Ocean (CCBO) project in the USA, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, is currently accepting expressions of interest for Social Behavior Change Advisor. This position will be located in Manila, Philippines.

The SBC Advisor will provide the necessary technical assistance to the Puerto Princesa Local Government Units (LGU) in data processing and analysis, interpretation, and research report writing.

Responsibilities:

*Assist each CCBO grantee in the Philippines to develop a research-based SBC

strategy, including:

– Development of qualitative research design, protocols, instruments, and consent forms;

– Providing guidance on implementation of research and analysis;

– Formulation of research-based SBC strategy to support their grant objectives and activities, where applicable.

* Collaborate with SBC Regional Manager to:

– Serves as a trainer and coach to grantees and local governments when conducting Trials of Improved Practices (TIPs), as part of formative research, including in analyzing and interpreting TIPs data;

– Develops and implement coaching, monitoring, and training plans for grantees and local governments to increase their capacity to in Social Behavior Change programming to promote 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) behaviors and improved Solid Waste Management (SWM);

– Conduct training for LGUs and CCBO grantees on SBC strategy formulation (SBC Advisor as lead; SBC Regional Manager as support)

Additional tasks include:

* Receive orientation on CCBO SBC and TIPs from the CCBO SBC Regional Manager

* As necessary attend training (conducted by SBC Regional Manager and SBC & Gender Director) on formative research methodologies, particularly Trials of Improved Practices (TIPs)

* Update SBC Regional Manager (and CCBO Grant Specialist) on the progress of CCBO grantees in applying agreed SBC approaches, processes, and methodologies in their grant Scope of Work (SOW).

Qualifications

*Graduate degree in communications or related fields.

*At least 10 years working in Information Education Communication (IED), SBC or advertising for related development projects in fields such environment, health and population.

*Development of at least one full training curriculum on any IEC or SBC topic

*At least 3 years providing capacity development in IEC or SBC topics, including training, mentoring, and coaching.

*Fluency in Filipino and English

*Filipino nationals are highly encouraged to apply
