The USAID-funded Clean Cities Blue Ocean (CCBO) project in the USA, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Research Consultant. This position will be located in Manila, Philippines.

The Research Consultant will provide the necessary technical assistance to the Pasig and Paranaque LGU in data processing and analysis, interpretation and research report writing.

Responsibilities:

1) Creation of Database and perform data analysis and interpretation

* Create the electronic database with data entry form for the household interview responses, e.g. Kobo online tools, Google Forms, SPSS, and any other database or statistical software with from creation and data entry features.

* Perform the data analysis, discussion and interpretation in consultation with the CCBO Regional SBC Manager.

* Work with the CCBO Regional SBC Manager and the LGU SBC team to generate the conclusions and recommendations.

2) Research report writing

* Based on the final and CCBO approved outputs, write the narrative formative research report.

3) Assist City ENROs during one (1) presentation and sharing of key findings, conclusions, and recommendations

* If the City ENRO organizes a presentation of the research findings to key LGU officials, like City Solid Waste Management Board, and/or multi-stakeholder audience, the Consultant shall participate and assist the City ENRO in that activity, particularly in answering technical questions about the interpretation of findings and conclusions, etc.

Qualifications:

* Has a minimum master’s degree in social science or other fields related to the scope of the assignment.

* At least five years of work experience performing as a research specialist performing data analysis, interpretation and report writing

* Preferably has work experience in the field of/ collaborating with stakeholders related to marine litter, waste management, and plastic waste issues.

* Has excellent English writing, and analytical skills.

* Advanced proficiency in speaking and writing in English.

* Consultant must be readily available for these tasks and would not require travel and accommodation costs.
