Working with the Research Team at Seven Star Consultants

At Seven Star Consultants Ltd, the selected candidate is expected to utilize professional skills in implementing research and development activities. The research executive will work independently and in a team, to fulfil organizational goals and initiatives related to research, data analysis, knowledge management and multi-sectoral human and economic development activities.

As a research executive with Seven Star Consultants Ltd, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and managing research projects for various clients in the development sector. The research executive will work closely with the research team lead and other team members to design and implement research methodologies, collect and analyze data, prepare and present reports, and provide recommendations based on the research findings.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities of the research executive are:

– Conduct extensive desk research and literature reviews on relevant topics and issues

– Develop research and grant proposals, questionnaires, interview guides, and other research tools

– Coordinate and conduct fieldwork activities such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations

– Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate softwares and techniques

– Write clear and concise reports and presentations

– Maintain regular communication with the research team lead, team members and other stakeholders throughout the project cycle

– Facilitate trainings and develop training materials

– Ensure quality control and ethical standards are adhered to in all work processes

Qualification

  1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, research and statistics, demographic studies, public policy, development studies or any other related field.
  2. At least three years of experience in conducting and managing research projects in a development context
  3. Knowledge of various research methodologies and techniques, both quantitative and qualitative
  4. Proficiency in using statistical software such as SPSS, R, Nvivo and Power bi.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and knowledge of French or any local language is a plus
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Ability to keep to strict deadlines
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy
  9. Creativity and problem-solving skills
  10. Interest and passion for multisectoral issues in the development sector

Compensation
