Neon One

Neon One is seeking an Implementation Consultant for its Neon CRM product. This position will report to Neon One’s Senior Implementation Manager. This is a remote (home-based) position. After the Chicago office reopens, Chicago-area staff may choose a hybrid work environment (time split from home and in the office); employees living outside the Chicago area will continue working from home.

Position Description

We are seeking a self-motivated, intelligent, puzzle-loving problem solver who wants to help nonprofits use technology more efficiently. Above all else, you must be passionate about delivering best-in-class customer service. As an implementation consultant, you will own the client onboarding and training process from beginning to end, helping new clients make a smooth transition from their previous donor database to Neon CRM.

Who are you?

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously to perform data imports, system configuration, training, and other onboarding tasks.
  • Lead live web-based product trainings that translate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Trainings are conducted daily, currently through Zoom.
  • Review and analyze client data, conduct data consultations, and map client data from their legacy database to Neon CRM. Conduct basic data imports using in-product tools, and prepare complex more complex data imports by writing import rules for software engineers.
  • Apply critical thought to anticipate client needs, provide solutions, and reduce friction involved in migrating to a new database.
  • Balance daily external interactions such as webinar trainings with “quiet time” activities such as data imports.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Develop extensive working knowledge of our products.
  • In addition to achieving key performance benchmarks, employees are expected to demonstrate skills essential to this role: technical expertise (product knowledge), understanding of client best practices, project management, adaptability, problem solving, clear communication, excellent customer service, and data fluency.
  • Contribute to other departmental duties as needed by the Professional Services team.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a training or teaching role, with ability to convey technical subject matter to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in the nonprofit industry preferred
  • The ability to learn new software quickly
  • Experience working with a similar CRM platform
  • The ability to understand databases and database structures
  • Strong customer service background
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with functions such as INDEX-MATCH
  • Willingness to learn Neon One products, Salesforce, JIRA and other Atlassian products, and other technology platforms used by Neon One.
