Position Summary

This role is accountable for the development, cultivation and facilitation of business to business contracting with statewide MI employer-sponsored groups. This role works in concert with Trinity Health Ministry Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs) to identify, cultivate, design and maintain a stable employer sponsored group client base. This role works in alignment with the CIN contracting teams to design value-based contracts for secured customers.

What The Population Health Relationships, Consultant Will Need

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Masters in Healthcare Administration, Master of Public Health, Master of Business Administration, preferred.
  • Strong preference given to candidates with 10 years of experience in direct sales within healthcare and/or managed care contracting or have worked for a health insurance brokerage/agency firm.
  • Experience with health care population management and MI health insurance plan landscape.

What The Population Health Relationships, Consultant Will Do

  • Develop a comprehensive business to business/direct to employer client base this includes prospecting, follow up on leads and finalizing agreements with employer-sponsored groups in Michigan.
  • Creates a marketing pitch pack for direct to employer sales meetings where conditions require
  • Performs direct sales calls to employer-groups and prepared CIN management teams and physician executives with the necessary audiences and leads to drive sales to conclusion
  • Partners with the CIN management teams and Trinity contracting division to design competitive value based proposals for employer-sponsored group. This includes tracing a contracts entire lifecycle from ideation, modeling, pre/post implementation to execution and ongoing management.
  • Creates a database process to maintain profiles on prospective and existing clients
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a complex environment and to negotiate and mediate complex and often competing interests.
  • Works in partnership with external third-party administrator (TPA) and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) contract partners
  • Exemplifies strong interpersonal relationships and communication skills with physicians, staff, community, and Board.
  • Demonstrates an ease working with and in the public domain and inspires others, conveys confidence and innovation.
