Publica is seeking to recruit a Planning Enforcement Officer to join our Development Management Team. This role will support the Senior Enforcement Officer in identifying, investigating and seeking to resolve any breaches of planning control throughout the Forest of Dean.

You will resolve cases through negotiation, safeguarding the public and protecting the environment of the Forest of Dean whilst maintain records of all investigations and ensuring that any evidence is presented in a logical and coherent manner. You will further make recommendations as to the appropriate course of action to address any alleged breach of planning. Our district is already a special place. About the role… Support the Senior Enforcement Officer in investigation and monitoring of alleged breaches of planning. To seek to resolve through negotiation any breaches of planning control to safeguard the public and protect the environment of the Forest of Dean. Maintain records of all investigations and ensure that any evidence is presented in a logical and coherent manner. Make recommendations as to the appropriate course of action to address any alleged breach of planning. You will need… GCSEs (5 A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English) Good level of IT and communication skills Achieves results through others Is customer focussed, responsive, and co-operative with customers Prioritises and meets tight deadlines For more information about this role please see the Job Description/Person Specification.
