Description:

ThePatientAccess Concierge isresponsible for ensuring that patients having pre-scheduled services are financially cleared before services are rendered. This is achieved primarily by completing insurance verification and pre-certification of a patient’s insurance coverage.

Position Requirements

Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 – 3 years of college

Minimum Experience: Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Position Responsibilities

Completes insurance verification of patient’s coverage by contacting the patient’s insurance carrier via phone or computer system. Completes pre-certification of patient’s insurance coverage by contacting said groups via phone and computer systems. Works with insurance carrier representatives and physicians to resolve pre-cert delays. Updates and/or corrects data in EPIC to reflect up-to-date demographic and insurance data required for clean claim submissions and timely payments from payors. Maintains working knowledge of payor pre-certification requirements necessary for account resolution.
