About The Site

Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. Several of our Group support functions are headquartered in Normanton which include Commercial, IT, Finance, People Team and our Planning Teams.

About The Role

£11.98 per hour plus bonus, therefore a potential to earn up to £12.48 per hour plus benefits including:

We are seeking a Machine Technician to join IPL Ltd to work at our site in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

Please Note The Shift Pattern For These Roles Are

4 on 4 off DAYS – 6am to 7:15pm

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Direct influence on ensuring line is running at optimum levels by reducing downtimes , stoppages and line set up times
  • Working closely with leadership team to achieve line/shift targets
  • Communicate and work closely with engineers to eliminate line stoppages or intermittent faults
  • Ensure all products are packed safely and within technical specification
  • Monitor work areas to ensure the workplace is safe and all machinery is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety
  • Ensure all daily machine safety checks are completed in line with the trained Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure product changeovers are performed with minimal downtime in a safe and accurate manner, seek to identify improvements at every opportunity
  • Report to the Line Leader and Engineer any machine run rate issues

Skills And Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to comfortably liaise with all levels within the Company
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of working with similar machinery/equipment (desirable)
