Customer Account Manager, Asda

Full time, permanent

Homebased – travel to St Albans once a week

Role purpose:

Account Management on QMS Asda account reporting in to the Senior Customer Business Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supplier planning, negotiations, business reviews and risk & opportunity management with Premier & Account stakeholders.

Key accountabilities include delivery of budget numbers through various levers, including first class customer service, formulating and delivering on joint business plans, increased range & NPD and great in-store execution.

What you’ll be doing:

  • P&L responsibility to deliver against TO & GPAS targets
  • Supplier Planning that drives growth through joint plans and excellent execution
  • Deliver performance review’s both internally and externally – with focus on risk mitigation and opportunity identification
  • Negotiate and agree a joint business plan/promotional plan (range & promotions) with the customer, delivering both internal & external objectives. Maintain and update annual account plans to deliver corporate objectives
  • Successful delivery of Innovation targets
  • Negotiate and deliver promotional programmes, ensuring promotions are communicated, forecasted, delivered, and then evaluated in a timely manner
  • Drive the accuracy and delivery of monthly sales forecasts and measure financials to plan – Working with supply chain, forecasting & finance
  • Work closely with Marketing & Category functions to close distribution gaps, identify and win new business and deliver New Product Launch plans (distribution, display, turnover targets)
  • Work closely with Commercial Planning function to implement agreed pricing & promotion structure
  • Ensure ‘good housekeeping’ via efficient ledger query management (price, invoice, claims)
  • Other projects as deemed appropriate to the role / team / individual
