Internship Job Title: Botanical Ingredient Development Internship NOTE: Internship is for Summer of 2023 You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PHD Degree program at the time of the internship. This role is also not eligible for continued sponsorship. What is special about this team: Nutrilite’s “seed to supplement” story is at the very heart of the work this special team performs. This team of technical professionals are tasked to deliver innovation into botanical ingredient development to foster new products that fuel the product portfolios in both beauty and nutrition. This team works closely with our Amway owned botanical farms, partner suppliers and farms, and our manufacturing operations. Working on this team, offers an opportunity unlike any other experience, supporting global botanical research and development for new and innovative products! How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This internship position will have a direct impact on working on the pipeline of innovative botanical ingredients for our Nutrition or Beauty products. The intern will be able to work hands-on to create real prototypes that help us to test and learn as we develop new ingredients. The intern will bring new creative and innovative ideas to drive differentiated product experiences. An example of a typical project is: The project will be focused on the formulation and/process development of a botanical ingredient(s) to meet priority customer needs in our Nutrition/Beauty products. The project will involve the opportunity lead trials in our bench scale or pilot scale laboratories. The project will involve working on a new botanical or process optimization on a current botanical in our portfolio. What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship? Desired Skills: Teamwork and collaboraton, communication and presentation skills, ability to design and execute a project plan, creative and innovative thinking, problem-solving Desired Prospective Degree: BS or MS degree in plant chemistry, plant sciences, botany, chemical engineering, or related science/engineering discipline (Note: if Degree is not related to plants, then looking for a scientist/engineer with strong interest in this area) Work Type: Hybrid (with at least 2-3 days per week on site, some weeks will be fully On-site for lab trials, but there is flexibility for some remote work days on certain days) Location of Internship: Buena Park, CA Academic year(s) of eligible students: Prefer ineligible intern (with 2 years more of school, either in BS Or MS degree) #AmwayIntern PDN-976cb5d5-35ac-4037-98ce-19e507c2ec84
