Interim Humanitarian Coordinator

The Global Humanitarian Team is looking for an Interim Humanitarian Coordinator who can coordinate the delivery of humanitarian team resources to responses and preparedness in country programmes to enable high-quality humanitarian programmes that contribute to community resilience consistent with GHT humanitarian approaches, commitments and expectations.

Job Type: Fixed term until 22nd February 2023

Location: This role can be located in a country where Oxfam has a presence, subject to Oxfam’s ability to employ in that location, the affordability of doing so and right to work requirements being met. Due to legislation constraints, it is not currently possible for this role to be based in some locations. These include Italy, France and India. We are looking for an Interim Humanitarian Coordinator who can coordinate the delivery of humanitarian team resources to responses and preparedness in country programmes to enable high-quality humanitarian programmes that contribute to community resilience consistent with GHT humanitarian approaches, commitments and expectations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead on the support to Oxfam’s responses in priority countries as delegated by the HM.
• Management of the HSP PM pool.
• Supervision of CAT fund (and if required appeal funds) to support effective and efficient allocation, monitoring of use and to maintain the status of available funds.
• Support, with the rest of the advisors and managers, the understanding and use of key analytical tools and frameworks related to safe programming.
• Deputise for the HM when required.
