An opportunity has arisen to support our Environment, Health & Safety Manager in leading the development and implementation of sustainability strategies inline with our overall business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring all management systems for health, safety and environment are fully maintained, risks and trends identified, and all appropriate action taken
  • Ensuring legal compliance to health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Obtaining data to compile a weekly/monthly review for the SLT
  • Complete COSHH Assessments
  • Track racking inspections, complete, monitor and track open actions
  • Conduct weekly/monthly/quarter and annually audits providing constructive feedback to the relevant stakeholders and supporting them with the closure of any open actions
  • Completion of Manual Handling Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of legal/ working requirements of Health & Safety at Work, ISO 14001
  • Recognised safety qualification (NEBOSH)
  • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental management systems
  • Knowledge of production processes and frontline employee job requirements
  • Drive accountability through effective management, personal drive, and self-organisation
  • Knowledge of legal and working requirements of Health & Safety at work and Environmental agenda
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to take terminology and translate into impactful and easily understood messages for an Operations team
