Role title: Project Manager

Location: Manchester

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager for NICE Scientific Advice, the Project Manager will be working on the development of a Multi-Agency Advisory Service (MAAS) for AI and data-driven technologies. The project focuses on researching, testing and developing a service that will offer support, information and guidance on regulation, research governance and evaluation for data-driven technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) in health and care. The service is currently in development and, having completed the alpha phase, will enter a beta build phase in April 2022 with an early version of the service expected to go live in late 2022 to early 2023.

The Project Manager will play a key role in driving much of this work forward, monitoring and reporting on progress and liaising with key contacts both internally and externally.

What You Will Bring To NICE

To be considered for this role, we are looking for a skilled Project Manager who can:

  • mange the scheduling and activities for the MAAS secretariat and working group
  • work closely with system partners to support the design and launch of the service
  • work with internal stakeholders to integrate the new service into existing infrastructure
  • manage activities involving an external digital agency who are testing and building a website, using agile principles and methodologies
  • developing and delivering communications activity through a variety of channels and disseminating the information appropriately

The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven operational involvement in the management and delivery of complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams
  • High drive and determination to complete a task where the work is unpredictable and/or complex and deadlines are tight
  • Effective and persuasive communicator demonstrating oral, written and presentation skills with a high degree of personal credibility
  • Experience of monitoring and managing budgets
  • Knowledge of a range of operational and project management tools and techniques
