Plarium Ukraine is looking for talented Game Designers to join our Game Design Department, which is responsible for the development of game feature concepts and balances, as well as the creation of interfaces and design documentation.

As part of this team, you will be supporting RAID: Shadow Legends, a collection MMORPG enjoyed by more than 81 million players worldwide. It combines battle collection mechanics, dark fantasy, and cutting-edge graphics. The game was nominated for Google Play’s “Best of 2019” Users’ Choice Award and was featured in numerous countries by Google and Apple. RAID is available on iOS , Android , and PC/Mac .

You will interact with UI/UX, Game Analysts, LiveOps, Customer Support, Community Management, Marketing, and other teams as you assist in the creation of in-game functionality and the improvement of game balance.

The successful applicant will be able to work at our Lviv office or remotely from Ukraine or Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Working on a project with 1 million daily active users
  • Designing new game mechanics and systems
  • Developing in-game functionality and game balance
  • Improving game mechanics and components based on the game’s analytical data and your experience in the field of game design
  • Testing functionality and analyzing results
  • Working with Marketing to manage in-game User Acquisition integrations

What We Expect

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in describing requirements for new functionality in Game Design Document format
  • The ability to convey ideas in a concise and well-structured way
  • Understanding of the principles of system design
  • Experience in creating game balance documents in Google Sheets/Excel
  • The ability to use analytical data in design decision-making
  • English language skills at the Intermediate level or higher

Desired

  • Experience creating in-game economies
  • Experience working with Confluence or similar feature documentation systems
  • Experience working with Jira or similar task managers
  • Understanding of UX basics
  • Higher education in a technical field
