Finance Assistant

CMA are delighted to be representing our client on an exclusive basis for the position of Finance Assistant based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Working closely with Finance Manager Operations, the purpose of the position is to support the Finance team in respect of the financial operations and financial control processes for all related products. Initially offered on a temporary basis this could become permanent for the right candidate.

What will the role involve?

• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly MI reports for review;
• Reconciling and summarising daily transaction level movements;
• Ensuring incoming and outgoing monies are recorded and transacted in accordance with business and regulatory requirements;
• Assisting with the administration for all Bank accounts, supporting payments for the team;
• Support the month end process including the preparation and posting of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and further management information;
• Supporting accounts payable and Banking;
• Undertaking additional adhoc tasks as required

Suitable Candidate

• MS Office including intermediate Excel (use of formulae, lookups, sumifs and pivot tables) is essential;
• Good planning and organisational skill, with the ability to manage own time efficiently;
• Good standard maths and the ability to problem solve;
• AAT Level 2 Accounting qualification is desirable;
• Excellent communicator, able to work across teams;
