Job Mission

New Balance are offering a 1 year paid internship to an undergraduate student, currently in penultimate year of study, with a desire to follow a career in Finance. Training and support will be given and you will gain a broad knowledge of a global business.

This placement opportunity will start on Monday 4th July 2022 and will be based in the Head Office (Warrington) full time.

Customer Master

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Set up all new Customer accounts in ERP for below markets:
    • UK, France, Germany, Netherlands/Luxembourg, Belgium.
    • Validate Customer Details Name, Address & Postcode.
    • Liaise/ Confirm discount and price lists with Sales Team.
    • Carry out VIES check ensure VAT number correct/ apply correct VAT code.
    • Manage Parent Account set up for Buying Groups.
    • Customer Master Data Amendments.
    • House Keeping.
    • Update customer bank details for SEPA DD collection.

    Cash Posting

    • Post payments onto Customer Account for all Markets.
    • Reconcile /allocate payment.
    • Liaise with credit controller in market if required/debit notes.

    Manual Credit & Reinvoices

    • Process Manual invoice/credit notes in ERP once approved in Market.

    Email Inbox

    • Monitor group credit inboxes daily.
    • Action internal emails relating to customer master updates.

    Requirements For Success

    • Studying towards a Bachelors degree in a relevant subject, for example, Finance, Accounting, Economics
    • Must be able to provide right to work in the UK
    • Admin skills and ability to work within a busy Finance/Credit Control team
    • Microsoft Office: Excel and Word
    • Attention to Detail
    • Excellent numeracy and keyboard skills
    • Able to organise own workload
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Team player with customer service focus
    • Language skills (French and German) would be advantageous
