Our successful IT services client based in Stonehouse have a new requirement for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a contract basis in order to cover Maternity Leave.

The contract would begin ASAP and will run through at least until the end of the calendar year.

The company offer a mixture of working from the office and from home, laptop provided. Although, all initial training will take place at their offices in Stonehouse.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for the credit control function for the company
  • New customer account set up including credit checks
  • Process customer remittances
  • Keep accurate records of due dates for retention payments and collect in a timely manner
  • Process staff expenses and mileage claims as well as fuel card invoices
  • Raising purchase orders for approval
  • New supplier account set up
  • Process supplier payments
  • Quarterly and year end stock reconciliations in conjunction with Finance Manager
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks including dealing with incoming calls, booking meetings, managing visitors and ordering of office supplies

Candidate Attributes;

  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment, whilst managing tasks effectively
  • Meet deadlines on time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work well on own initiative as well as in a team
  • Computer literate
  • Some previous experience working in a finance department
  • Excellent attention to detail

Hours; 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Salary; Up to £22,000 per annum
