Counselor III Job Description:
The Counselor will be responsible for substance use and mental health counseling, case management and treatment planning for clients who have been referred to Maryhaven’s Adult Outpatient program for treatment. The Counselor will maintain a caseload of clients receiving alcohol or drug (AOD) and mental health treatment while providing individual and group counseling services. Complete assessments, screenings, and documentation in a timely manner while making referrals for assessed needs and appropriate level of care.
Counselor III Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with one (2) year of experience in the field of chemical dependence or mental health treatment.
- LCDC III, LPC, LSW, LISW or comparable license or certification with one (2) year of paid full time experience in the field of chemical dependency or mental health treatment or equivalent required
- LPC, LSW preferred
