Peer Recovery Support Job Description:
The Peer Recovery Supporter will be required to support others in recovery from substance use disorder. Candidate will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must also demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
Peer Recovery Support Requirements:
- State requirements for Certified Peer Recovery Supporter required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Demonstrate no ongoing criminal activity
- Maintain a current driver’s license
- Must be a person with a lived experience of mental health or co-occurring mental health & substance use disorder
