Here’s where you come in:

As the Chief of Party (COP), you will manage the structure, coordinate and support the full USAID-funded Food Assistance and WASH activity in Nord-Kivu. You will collaborate with the Ministry and other critical partners to provide strategic and high-level support for effective capacity building at the local level and sustainability of the project interventions. You will oversee a team of experts and support staff, prepare reports and annual operating plans, align project initiatives with in-country priorities and ensure the program is compliant with all elements of the USAID award and World Vision’s Grant Management related policies and regulations.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in education, especially with a focus on International Development, Humanitarian Programs or related topics or equivalent experience in leadership / program management.
  • 10+ years of extensive international development experience managing large grant-funded projects in developing countries.
  • At least 5 years managing large Food Assistance projects, preferably as CoP or Project Manager of a USG funded project.
  • 3+ years in senior roles in complex environments
  • Experience as a CoP, “key personnel”, or senior expert advisor required.
  • Familiarity with USAID/BHA programs, their history and development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
