Overall job purposes

The Case worker is a member of Child Protection team. Under the supervision of the Project coordinator, the case worker is responsible for implementing activities focused on case management services. She/he will ensure that children in need are directed to relevant services and support the most vulnerable and at-risk boys and girls through provision of safe and confidential case management services .

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Identify, document and respond to the most vulnerable and at-risk children, including unaccompanied and separated children.
  • Conduct rapid assessments to determine the most appropriate response to the child’s needs.
  • Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks, with particular attention on vulnerable/at-risk children
  • Provide awareness session to parents and communities.
  • Identify and implement timely, survivor-centered and age-appropriate case management services and psychosocial support to all beneficiaries.
  • Provide good quality of case management (Full Case Management System).
  • Facilitate safe and confidential referrals to other service providers.
  • Train and engage community focal points (CPCs) on CP case identification and safe referrals.
  • Provide information for community and advice on existing services and how to access them.
  • Work in close collaboration with the PSS Facilitators to strengthen relationships with the community and to strengthen the referral system.
  • Perform other duties as necessary, as assigned by the project coordinator.

Qualifications

Qualifications Requested:

  • University degree in Sociology, Psychology, social work and at least one-year relevant area work experience.
  • Preferably, good experience in case managing work in general and CP case management in particular.
  • Written & verbal proficiency in Arabic , also English is preferable.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good report writing skills, preferably in English.
