THE TEAM
The Campaign team is responsible for fighting against the planet’s enemies. The primary goal of Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is to bring down the might of the fossil fuel order standing in the way of a sustainable future; this team’s job is to run campaigns that fulfil this goal. Whether it’s stopping a huge new dangerous gas project, taking the fight of the Pacific to the world’s biggest stages, or pushing huge corporations to ditch coal, you’ll be working on campaigns we believe will make the world safer and more just.
THE ROLE
The Campaigner will play a key role in the fight to stop the devastating expansion of offshore gas in WA. In this role you will explore and find ways to use your campaigning skills to leverage the huge power of our supporters, while devising and delivering outstanding projects and activities in our gas campaign. The role will help tell the story of what’s at stake, including our climate and the incredible marine life.
Open to applicants Australia wide, with a strong preference for Perth, Sydney or Melbourne for the opportunity to join in person staff workshops, meetings, get-togethers and creative confrontation activities.
This is a 12 month full-time position.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We’re looking for an outstanding campaigner with a strong grasp on campaign strategy and implementation. You’ll have a thorough understanding of the political and digital landscape, and how to use different skills and strategies to win campaigns.
You’ll also have:
- Love for campaigning, and a desire to take on this country’s biggest polluters;
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar or related role;
- Knowledge and/or experience in national or international campaigning;
- Experiencing in working with media, including as spokesperson;
- Understanding of storytelling and audiences; and
- Critical thinking skills to understand dynamic scientific, social and political issues.

Salary $86,188.42 per annum + Superannuation
