Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. We are looking for a Field Coordinator to oversee the activities in Rakhine state. Our sectors of operation are nutrition (primary), mental health & care practices, gender & protection, WASH, food security & livelihoods. We are developing a local partnership strategy which will fundemental to our future programming in Myanmar. The position is to be based first in our office in Thailand.
As Field Coordinator you will be leading ACF’s operations in the geographic area, aligning implementation to the mission strategy. Your main objective will be to provide high-level representation towards external stakeholders, as well as leadership to both program and support teams in the field. You will also have the Deputy Field Coordinator under your supervision, who will help you towards program management, as well as the other support teams.
Your main responsibilities include the following:
Coordinating ACF country strategy implementation at field level
Coordinating overall implementation of program at field level
Managing the team at field level on site and/or remotely depending on access
Representing ACF and liaise with regional authorities, UN, NGOs at field and regional level for the whole Rakhine state
Facilitating the coordination system with the Coordination Office in Yangon
Ensuring reporting and communication
Managing security at field level
Contributing to gender equality mainstreaming
REQUESTED PROFILE
You have experience in external representation, external coordination, you have worked within multi-partner consortium and with local partners. You have experience in security management. You show advanced programme cycle management skills including programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. You have skills in budget management and donor reporting/ accountability/ compliance. You are pragmatic and results oriented, creative and out of the box thinker, and you have proven ability to work independently under pressure with tight deadlines. You are flexible and able to adapt quickly to fast pace complex dynamics and changing context, you have cultural sensitivity and experience working in conflict sensitive areas. You are able to manage competing priorities and large size and scope of programs / operations and are experienced in team management in multi-cultural context requiring strong communications skills and interest in capacity building. Fluency in English written/spoken is compulsory
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY
– Monthly gross salary from 2450EUR to 2800EUR upon experience.
– Per diem and living allowance: 216$ + 381$ (cf eurocost) net, field paid.
– 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
– Child allowance, 1500EUR/year/child (capped to 6000EUR)
– Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission
– Individual room in guesthouse covered
– 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + private insurance) and repatriation insurance
– 25 days of paid leaves per year
– 20 RnR per year. + 215 EUR at each RnR period (averagely every 3 months. Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference (Thailand).
