About FIDA International

Fida is a Finnish faith-based development and humanitarian organisation, belonging to the Finnish Pentecostal Church. We have a long-standing record as a Finnish civil society organisation in global development. Fida’s official development work started in 1974. Our programme currently reaches 15 countries. We are working to improve the rights of vulnerable children. Our development cooperation and humanitarian aid stems from Christian values. We cooperate with churches and NGOs, supporting our partners to work for the benefit of their own communities. The operational framework of our global programme is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030), Finnish Government Development Policy, Programme Support for Civil Society Organisations guidelines, EU development policy and our operational countries’ Poverty Reduction Strategies.
