Fida International

Full Gospel Church partnering with Finnish Mission Kenya/Fida International. FGCK, under Tunajali programme implements development work in six counties (Kakamega, Nairobi, Kilifi, Tana River, Narok and Marsabit) under the right to education and right to safe living environment. This position is part of Capacity building of FGCK programmes.

The posting is situated in Nairobi with possible occasional travel. The position is until the year 2025. The contract will be renewed yearly based on performance. There will be a 6-month probation period before confirmation of the contract. The position is available immediately.

As a Resource Mobilization/Fundraising officer you will be responsible for:

· Coordinating the grants acquisition process for the Tunajali Kenya Programme.

· Maintaining proactive, coordinated, and strategic engagement with potential partners.

· Participating and representing the organization in donor forums and Resource mobilization networks and meetings.

· Mapping out new opportunities for resource mobilization, new innovations, and technological solutions,

· Strengthening corporate collaborations and bringing business mindset to Tunajali development programme(s).

· Developing and maintaining relevant networks with relevant stakeholders including the private sector.

This position requires a strong understanding of development cooperation sector including on policies, trends, and human rights-based approach. Demonstrated expertise in funding instruments, resource mobilization, fundraising, proposal writing, and donor relations. Good understanding of public private partnership and a background in business is an added value including experience in innovation technology and cooperate collaboration.

The position requires an applicable University degree and/or at least 2 years working experience in the development cooperation/grants management field.

Proficiency in both oral and written English and Swahili is a requirement. Teamwork and interpersonal skills, competence in working in multicultural contexts and good IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) are needed.

Compensation for this position will be based on basic salary with bonuses added based on resources mobilized.
