This position will be located at the East Alton, IL facility. Essential Functions*:

  • Utilize standard electrical troubleshooting techniques to aid maintenance with breakdowns.
  • Read, interpret, design and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
  • Modify multiple vision systems for daily upkeep.
  • Utilize programmable logic control (PLC) software to gain in-depth understanding of the various processes encountered throughout the plant.
  • Determine which approach is most feasible toward the redesign of a particular piece of equipment.
  • Assist area engineers in the installation, debug/start-up of new or modified existing equipment and facilities.
  • Work closely with outside vendors for purchased items to support programs.

Position Requirements*:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year trade school with emphasis on industrial control technology. In lieu of 2-year trade school, military electrical experience or extensive background in software development will be considered.
  • Minimum 1-year relevant manufacturing experience preferred..
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed.
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
