This Opportunity
LBS is seeking a full-time Electrical Technician in Orlando/Ocoee, FL. The Electrical Technician will assist the Journeyman or Master Electrician in the installation and repair of electrical wiring, lighting, and equipment in a safe manner.
Your Impact
- Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site.
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
- Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through opening
- Traces out short circuits in wiring.
- Assists in lifting, positioning and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit and motors.
- Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches.
- Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
- Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts and reassembles equipment.
- Works from elevated locations, sometimes near water.
- Uses all equipment, tools, materials, and supplies safely
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work multiple shifts and varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime
- 1-2 years of Residential or Commercial Experience
- Ability to work with 277/480 volts
- Must be persistent, have good time management, good attendance, good problem solving skills, and good analyzing information.
- Work independently, with safety always the highest priority
- Ability to respond to emergency call backs
- Obtain MOT certificate (coursework and certification paid for by LBS)
- Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
- Comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL or obtain Class B within 90 days of hire (coursework and certification paid for by LBS)
