This Opportunity

LBS is seeking a full-time Electrical Technician in Orlando/Ocoee, FL. The Electrical Technician will assist the Journeyman or Master Electrician in the installation and repair of electrical wiring, lighting, and equipment in a safe manner.

Your Impact

  • Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site.
  • Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
  • Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through opening
  • Traces out short circuits in wiring.
  • Assists in lifting, positioning and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit and motors.
  • Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches.
  • Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
  • Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts and reassembles equipment.
  • Works from elevated locations, sometimes near water.
  • Uses all equipment, tools, materials, and supplies safely
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work multiple shifts and varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime
  • 1-2 years of Residential or Commercial Experience
  • Ability to work with 277/480 volts
  • Must be persistent, have good time management, good attendance, good problem solving skills, and good analyzing information.
  • Work independently, with safety always the highest priority
  • Ability to respond to emergency call backs
  • Obtain MOT certificate (coursework and certification paid for by LBS)
  • Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
  • Comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL or obtain Class B within 90 days of hire (coursework and certification paid for by LBS)
