Water monitors will only be engaged 2-months of the projects for water trucking activities, project supported by SHF and they will have the below roles;
1)Monitor the water trucking activities in camps using the water trucking log sheet.
2)Monitor and assess in managing the water distributed by the water networks in the camps.
3)Ensure that all predestined water trucking trips are delivered on time and to the required location
4)Ensure that water trucks drivers are delivering water to the agreed stops and/or tanks
5)Ensure that water trucks are full and deliver the required amount of water in each trip.
6)Conduct water chlorination for water trucks at the water source, and make sure that the chlorinated water had waited for a sufficient contact time before the water is distributed, according to his/her direct line manager instructions
7)Conduct random FRC tests and communicate results with the chlorinators
8)Make sure that all tests results are recorded properly and sent in time to the supervisor.
9)Monitoring dislodging garbage collection in area
10)Monitoring Sanitation activities
11)Make sure that all documents are filed properly
Person Specifications (Requirements):
- Certificate in WASH related subjects
- At least one year’ experience in water trucking activities In Somalia
- Fluent in English and Somali
- Social mobilization experience preferred
- Strong team building and management skills
- Having report writing skills and communication skills.
