People in Need looking for someone who will be able to design and create a VR journey showcasing People in Need (PIN) support in north Syria.

People in Need PIN/CVT provides humanitarian support to war-affected people in Northeast and West of Syria, and in most war-affected countries across the world.

We are part of Alliance2015, a strategic network of eight European non-governmental organizations engaged in humanitarian aid and development projects. This collaboration increases effectivity both in working in the target countries and in campaigns aimed at influencing the attitudes of politicians and the general public in Europe.

Project Description:

The contractor will be designing a map of northeast Syria with hotspots that contain 360-degree pictures and videos of PIN’s water stations, education centers, training workshops, etc. The hotspots will also contain text descriptions and possibly 2D videos.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an immersive 360-degree VR experience in line with project objectives
  • Collaborate with PIN’s Communications Manager for Syria and Iraq to conceptualize and execute innovative ideas
  • Ensure adherence to project timeline and quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 360-degree VR content creation tools and software

  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing immersive VR experiences

  • Strong understanding of VR storytelling, user experience and interactive design principles

  • Portfolio showcasing previous VR projects

    Timeline:

  • 1st week of March 2024: The contractor/company will receive all the relevant information and content including the 360-degree photos and videos.

  • Mid-March 2024: The contractor/company will begin working on the project with the coordination of PIN’s Communication Department.

  • 1st week of April: Submission of the first draft

  • End of April: Submission of the second draft

  • Mid-May: Submission of the final draft
