Rightwalk Foundation was founded by Ashoka Fellow Samina Bano
RightWalk Foundation’s core mission involves driving Equity, Inclusion & Social Justice by co-shaping public policies and translating them into action. We practice Systems Thinking approach for institutional reform by partnering with system leadership, lawmakers and communities. We work closely with the State Government and have been instrumental in unlocking RTE 12.1(c) policy in the State thereby impacting over 2.30 lakh children from vulnerable communities in the last five years. We have been listed amongst the country’s top 50 Education leaders in 2020 and top 26 NGOs in India impacting Education in 2016 by the Education World magazine.
The program is in close coordination with the Uttar Pradesh State Government for end to end implementation of a public policy on apprenticeship. It has the capacity to impact the lives of 20,000 to 50,000 youth secure employment and focuses on ‘earning while learning’. Also, the scheme is from one of the top three priority schemes of the Chief Minister’s office and is closely followed. This is a great opportunity to work in public policy implementation in a State as large and diverse as Uttar Pradesh and impact the lives of thousands of youth from vulnerable communities. It will both be a challenging as well as a rewarding experience.

Job Description
We’ll need you to assist with the following: Develop standard M&E systems and processes across the program, from project design to learning phases, for all program activities, including:
- Formulating detailed M&E plans, providing technical assistance to ensure plans are being followed throughout implementation
- Work with project’s core team to develop or improve monitoring tools and processes (from project design to close-out) to ensure that the program is using the right tools and has the proper procedures in place to achieve both collection of high quality data and the effective use of those data
- Indicator monitoring of the project, including incorporation of organizational core indicators
- Routine monitoring of program activities
- Data collection, including digital data collection where feasible Data Management and Analysis
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions
- Support program coordinators in analysis of data for both documentation of program progress, decision-making, learning and knowledge management
- Analyze changes and patterns in program indicator data and performance reports in order to make recommendations to program staff
- Support program manager in the preparation of consolidated reports, including concise narratives and relevant tables and/or graphs that capture progress against indicators, provide donors with accurate and user-friendly information, and ensure that donor, partner, and senior management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner

Desired Skills And Experience
- Post-graduate degree in social sciences, management or social work
- 1-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis using packages like DHIS, ONA, GBVIMS, SPSS, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Access, Tableau, etc.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory methods experience in use of data to inform decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data, craft possible solutions and recommend actions
- Excellent writing and presentation skills (ability to communicate complex ideas in a meaningful way), ability to manage projects and lead teams
- Result orientation, strong communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and levels
- Proven technical skills in monitoring and evaluation, including experience with multi-sectoral and multi-donor funded programs
- Demonstrated teamwork experience, including abilities to coordinate effectively with diverse individuals, teams, and stakeholders to achieve results
- Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with little supervision
- Strong planning and organizational skills, and an ability to be able to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines
