Visa’s Pricing and Interchange strategy team has responsibility for managing Visa’s fees globally. We are looking for a Senior Manager to build and shape a pricing intelligence hub in Europe. This is a critical and visible leadership position which will be responsible for establishing best in class data insights capabilities in support of high impact decision making at Visa.

The role will use Visa and third-party data to understand the effectiveness and impact of Visa pricing and interchange, how changes affect customers, and competitive trends. This Senior manager will need to have the technical and problem solving skills needed to personally build out our capability. The successful candidate will have data analytics credentials combined with a business results mindset.

The position will report to the Vice President, European Pricing and Interchange Strategy and will be based at Visa’s offices in London, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities & Duties
Pricing and interchange data strategy: Define the data strategy for Pricing and Interchange data in collaboration with the broader Pricing and Interchange team. Will require consultation and input from the client facing teams across the region, product and MS&A. This will include the outlining of a clear executional plan to consolidate pricing data / insight from across the region, improve the quality of our data, and outline how to get the best out of it.
Design and implementation of data / insight environment: Design the data environment and define how it will be used. Work with and direct external resources to build and implement the data environment in a sustainable and expandable way.
Drive insights and opportunity analysis: Use the data environment to provide key insights for the business that show the impact of potential pricing & interchange changes. Leverage the data to identify commercial opportunities that support the growth in Europe and build on the 5 year strategy.
Develop impact tracking: Develop and implement Visa’s approach to tracking the impact of changes that are made in pricing and interchange, building out a strong feedback loop from those interacting with clients.
Engagement on key changes and regulatory topics: Work alongside the development and regulatory parts of the team to support work on specific projects and initiatives.
Training / coaching: Support the team in their ability to use data and analytical techniques in their daily work. Provide the right environment for the team to be able to do this.
Graduate / Post-graduate in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Economics.
Experience in using large data sets, applying them to ill-defined problems in order to drive business decision making and influence the decisions of others including at the executive level.
Experience and exposure to pricing management within multiple industries preferred (i.e. software, telecommunications, consumer goods, issuer processors, payments).
Superior analytics and problem solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
Ideally experienced with interchange data and other Visa data / data platforms.
Advanced Excel skills required – can demonstrate efficient application of mathematical concepts and programming to improve efficiency of modelling and reporting.
Ability to extract large volumes of multifaceted data using SQL with experience of the Hadoop eco-system, including Hive and Impala.
Demonstrable programming ability in different languages (R and Python are essential).
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI and MicroStrategy.
Strong interpersonal skills with presence and the ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior and executive management, clients, peers and team members.
