ABOUT THE MISSION

Duration of the mission: 3 months

Location:Lviv with travels to the East when and if possible

Activities planned

1 Assistance to Ukrainian refugees leaving Lviv Oblast for Poland.

1.1 : Information on the services offered, conditions of access and border crossing and referral to existing services (e.g. Red Cross first aid post)

1.2 : Distribution of hot food / snacks

1.3 : Distribution of drinking water / hot drinks

1.4 : Distribution of blankets (winter period)

1.5 : Provision of a heated waiting room for the most vulnerable

2 Assistance to displaced people in Lviv oblast

2.1 Assistance to displaced persons arriving at Lviv train station

2.1.1: Information on services offered, transit to reception centres and/or bus stations referral to existing services (e.g. Red Cross first aid post)

2.2.2: Distribution of hot food/snacks

2.2.3 : Distribution of drinking water / hot drinks

2.2.4 : Distribution of blankets (winter period)

Upon arrival at Lviv train station (from Kiev, Kharkov) some families continue to the border while others remain in the Lviv Oblast. The journey to the border is made either by bus or through a network of volunteers. Connection to Lublin or Slovakia. 3000 passengers per day, on average

Security risks: Lviv is until now far from the war and the place where administrative bodies are based and humanitarian assistance is taking place. Nevertheless, the evolution of the conflict is completely unpracticable and it is possible that Lviv becomes an active place of fighting or the target of Russian bombings. Evacuation is complicated and SI would certainly follow the exact same road than all the Ukrainian civilians on the run.

ABSOLUTELY requested to be very flexible and to know that there is no standard JD or tasks to be applied. Each person must come motivated, knowing the needs and ready to do what is necessary in potentially complex logistics environment and rough living conditions

ABOUT THE JOB

Challenge of opening a base and of a young mission:

• Opening the base: recruitment of the new team, induction, implementation of basic procedures

• Young mission: coordination under creation, procedures not yet adapted to local context, no senior employees to support the opening and the base)

YOUR PROFILE

• Experience

• Education: Bachelor degree in a field related to finance and/or HR management

• 1 year minimum experience required in administrative management (or as an assistant of administrative coordinator)

• Previous experiences in the humanitarian field.

SI WILL OFFER YOU

A salaried post:
According to experience, starting from 1 800 euros gross per month (+ 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem.
SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL also covers accommodation costs in the Guest House and travel expenses between the expatriate’s country of origin and the place of assignment.

Vacation: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with 850 USD allocated by SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL). To these break periods, one additional rest day per month worked are granted.

Social and medical cover:**
Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which reimburses all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
