Job Purpose

For managing Protection and Emergency response projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic planning:

– Actively participating in strategic planning related to Protection and Emergency Response programming.

– Research new and innovative project ideas in the sector that fit in the organizational strategy

– Communicate the vision and mission to the Protection and Emergency Response Program team.

– Ensure mainstreaming (Environment/Child protection/Gender/disabilities) is part and parcel of the Protection and Emergency Response programming.

Project related:

– Produce high quality Proposal and lead the development of projects documentation..

– Follow up on the Protection and Emergency Response projects implementation.

– Ensure reporting timely and accurately and review Protection and Emergency Response projects reports before being submitted to the donor.

– Ensure mainstreaming is included in the projects.

Donor management:

– Support Violet in identifying potential donors and funding opportunities for Protection and Emergency Response projects.

– Follow up on any requirements related to Protection and Emergency Response the donor may requests.

Coordination and Communication:

– Hold Protection and Emergency Response program meetings.

– Ensure the Protection and Emergency Response teams work together efficiently.

– Ensuring the Protection and Emergency Response teams are well staffed (support Recruitment, appraisals carried out).

– Ensure good coordination between Protection and Emergency Response program and the MEAL team.

– Ensure good coordination between Protection and Emergency Response program and supporting team.

External coordination:

– Ensure Violet participation in the coordination meetings (CWG/SNFI cluster meeting… etc).

Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.….

Commitment to implementing the child safeguarding and PSEA policy by considering them when planning and designing activities as well as when receiving complaints or observing issues related to this matter and fulfill their obligation to report it directly via the assigned channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness to their assigned staff of the child safeguarding and PSEA policy plus reporting mechanisms and how to deal with it.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential

University degree. A master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of successful similar project management /team and work plans leading experience in the humanitarian NGOs under the Protection and Emergency Response sector.

Turkish nationality is required.
