The purpose of the Training and Development Administrator is to provide a highly effective and efficient administration support to the Organisational Development team, with a key priority of managing the highest completion rate for essential/compliance training across all areas of the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to staff and managers in the planning and delivery of L&D events and strategy
  • Provide a reliable point of contact for all learning and development matters
  • Ensure staff attend internal and external learning events (F2F or Ihasco) to meet legal requirements and wider L&D strategy. Monitoring completion rates via training matrix/Ihasco and encouraging completion if gaps exist
  • Working with regional contacts to administer an up to date Training Matrix for each area of the business to be able to produce and maintain accurate records of learning and development activity in compliance with procedures
  • Arrange the booking of trainers, venues, travel, accommodation and facilities for L&D events
  • Communicate course requirements with trainers, facilities, learners and external suppliers with agreed timelines
  • Produce reports on learning and development activity using agreed HR performance indicators
  • Prepare or select any learning and development materials or programmes required by the learn-er/trainer
  • Monitor and collate L&D evaluation forms
  • Support the L&D team in achieving their development goals
  • Manage the learning and development calendar
  • Research learning and development practices in order to meet organisational, departmental and individual development needs

The role of the L&D Assistant works closely with the Head of OD and Training Manager, whilst collaborating with the wider HR team and regional teams.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant work experience (at least one year of administrative experience)
  • Excellent IT and formatting skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and prioritise
  • Good numerical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Efficient and organised with good attention to detail
  • Experience in organising events such as seminars, workshops or conferences (desirable)
