The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people.

1. Tender Purpose:

NRC Middle East Regional Office in Amman, Jordan, is soliciting bids for**“Decent work survey consultancy’’**

The aim of the research is to better understand the working conditions faced by refugees including violations of work rights and obstacles, risks and protection concerns faced when seeking to protect those rights. As young persons face particular difficulties when entering into the workforce or in protecting their rights, the research will also seek to focus specifically on challenges faced by refugee youth.

More broadly, the research will be key for NRC’s durable solutions work within the region and for the development of strategies for increased refugee self-reliance. It can also help identify opportunities for integrated programming.

NRC is therefore seeking to identify a Consultant to lead the development and roll-out of this survey, as well as to support NRC in analysing the survey data collected to inform key messages for NRC and other relevant actors. The Consultant should possess relevant expertise and knowledge in conducting surveys via social media with a tested and verified methodology, while familiarity with the Middle East region and forced displacement contexts is desired
