Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) is one of the biggest and oldest German aid and welfare organization with more than one million members. Currently, ASB has 11 foreign offices and implementing programs in more than 20 countries. ASB, through its officially registered country office in Georgia, implemented several EU, German, and US government-funded projects related to: inclusive disaster risk reduction, provision of social services, improvement of economic and livelihood conditions, resocialization of persons in conflict with the law, confidence building, as well as humanitarian assistance to IDPs, conflict-affected population and other vulnerable groups, etc.
ASB Georgia is pleased to invite the qualified candidates, organizations and companies to provide 3 days operational training for the users of the Fire Engine in Kutaisi within the Project funded by Embassy of Japan in Georgia under the GGP Human Security Grant Program. The project outcome is to contribute to the protection of the health and welfare of the citizens of Georgia by improving emergency preparedness and response capability of Emergency Management Service (EMS).
The qualified candidates, organizations and companies will be requested to plan and conduct three-day operational training for the fire engine users, that should cover the following issues: operation of truck and the related equipment; regular maintenance of truck and the relevant equipment; specific information about equipment; potential suppliers of the necessary spare parts; diagnosis backup and other topics revealed based on the existing needs. The training will be conducted in Kutaisi / Georgia in offline mode. The specifications of the truck can be reviewed in the attachment.
Required skills and experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in provision of an operational trainings for the fire engine;
- Ability to travel to Georgia.
Roles and Responsibilities
The qualified candidates, organizations and companies will have the overall responsibility for planning and conducting the 3-day training for 20 firefighters in Kutaisi in accordance with the initially prepared and agreed agenda and timeline.
Timeline
The expected duration of the contract is 1 month (January 2023 – February, 2023).

Documents to be submitted
Interested applicants should submit their proposal in English which must include the following:
- Detailed description of candidate’s experience and qualification (CV);
- The budget including detailed breakdown of the costs (travel expenses, daily allowance, interpreter fee and other expenses) excluding VAT;
- Detailed planned training agenda.
The price bid must remain valid for a minimum of 40 days after closure of this tender.
