Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for several Technical Specialist positions on a USAID-funded program in the South Caucasus region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia). The program will seek to strengthen formal and informal ties between the three countries on water resources management issues as well as implement technical interventions to improve practices at the grassroots level in the communities located alongside border areas.

Tetra Tech is looking for a variety of technical experts to lead the research, development, and implementation of activities designed to improve transboundary basin management in the South Caucasus region. These experts can be based in all three countries of the project’s geographic scope and will be responsible for leading technical implementation related to their respective area(s) of expertise, contributing to planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning, and reporting activities. The positions will be based in Tbilisi, Georgia or in Armenia and Azerbaijan (specific locations to be determined) for the full life of project (anticipated five years).

We are seeking qualified candidates with expertise in the following areas:

* Integrated water resources management

* Water policy and governance

* Institutional strengthening

* Hydrologist and/or meteorologist

* Community engagement specialist (water stewardship)

* Resource economics

Qualifications:

* Advanced degree (or bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience) in a relevant discipline is required.

* Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.

* Demonstrated experience providing technical input or advisory services in one or more countries of project implementation required.

* Professional proficiency in written and spoken English required.

* Strong familiarity with political, social, economic, environmental, and cultural contexts in Georgia, Armenia, and/or Azerbaijan required.

* Experience with USAID and/or other donor-funded projects preferred.
