Tetra Tech International Development https://careers.tetratechintdev.com is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for various potential Technical Specialist and Administrative positions on an anticipated USAID-funded program in the West Bank/Gaza. This 5-year USAID-funded initiative titled Active Citizenry Project seeks to empower Palestinian citizens and civil society actors to hold public institutions accountable, foster social and political advancement, and improve overall living conditions and prosperity.
The Technical Specialists will provide technical and management leadership to activities within their field of expertise to achieve project outcomes. These would be full-time positions based in the West Bank/Gaza for the full life of the project (anticipated five years).
Tetra Tech seeks candidates specialized in the following areas:
*Institutional Capacity Experts: experienced in promoting good governance, institutional capacity development, change management, improved service delivery, and the effectiveness and sustainability of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
*Community Engagement / Outreach Experts: experienced in increased participatory community development and civic participation within communities, and across CSOs, behavior-change strategies, and the strengthening and improvement of service delivery capacity of CSOs working in these fields, in West Bank & Gaza.
*Transparency and Accountability Experts: experienced in the development of both collective and internal capacity of CSOs for promoting transparency, accountability, advocacy efforts in terms of CSO support and management, and behavior-change strategies.
*Legal/Human Rights Experts: experienced in working on human rights (including the rights of women and other marginalized groups), human rights advocacy, democratic governance, rule of law initiatives, and the strengthening and improvement of service delivery capacity of CSOs working in these fields, in West Bank & Gaza.
*Gender, Equality, and Social Inclusion (GESI) Experts: experienced in advocacy on social Inclusion, particularly with respect to gender, youth, marginalized groups, behavior-change strategies, and the strengthening and improvement of service delivery capacity of CSOs working in these fields, in West Bank & Gaza.
*Water, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management Experts: experienced in water, sanitation, solid waste management; in particular, in the areas of water conservation (including the engagement of youth), green infrastructure practices, environmental protection in wastewater management, participatory water governance approaches, and financial sustainability.
*Grant Management Experts: experienced in managing and administering grants and grantees, especially those experienced in the management of USAID-supported grants.
*USAID Financial & Regulatory Compliance Experts: experienced in project financial management, and USAID regulatory compliance issues in West Bank and Gaza.
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline is preferred;
* Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in their respective field of technical expertise;
* Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded programs is useful
* Arabic proficiency required, English a plus;
* Palestinian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
