RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the technical editor include reviewing the work of the technical stakeholders, writing/editing articles, designing templates, and more.
To be a successful technical editor, you should have detailed knowledge of a variety of technical topics. Ultimately, a top-notch technical editor has excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills
- Working with stakeholders to ensure document accuracy and act as an sparring partner/advisor
- Reviewing written technical documents for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style
- Making any necessary corrections to technical documents.
- Ensuring that all written content meets our company’s standards.
- Conducting quality assurance on all documents.
- Commissioning of proofreading and incorporation of proofread content
- Create & maintain a company-wide glossary for all arculus products
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in journalism, applied science, mathematics, engineering, or another related field
- Ability to evaluate and edit the content, structure, and format of a range of written material
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills
- Excellent computer and word processing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident in the use of CAD Tools and OFFICE Suite
- In-depth knowledge of technical concepts
- Business Fluent English and German
NICE TO HAVE
- Professional experience in the field of technical documentation and editing is a plus
- Technical background and knowledge of robotic technology is a plus
