We are currently looking for a TAX ANALYST in Bogotá.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide support of the Tax Return Owner by analyzing and reconciling data for the preparation of monthly and quarterly indirect tax returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Its functions are the following, however, they are not limited to:

• Follow instructions of the Tax Return Owner.
• Reconcile transactional data in excel from source systems to the general ledger monthly.
• Prepare tax return forms, return checklist and payment information based on the transactional data reconciliation for review and approval by the Return Owner.
• File approved return via the jurisdiction’s website or mail.
• Submit approved return payment to the jurisdiction via ach or check.
• Input approved return information and documentation into return tracking software.
• Prepare amendment returns to correct any past issues.
• Create and maintain desk reference/point sheet procedures (instructions) for each reconciliation and/or process.
• Update/rollforward general ledger workpapers in excel monthly.
• Pull documentation such as bills of lading and invoices to support returns and/or refund claims.
• Review invoices to determine if sales tax was charged on the invoice.
• Assists indirect tax team with special projects.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Business required, Accounting, Business management or Finance is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

Fluent English level is required (B2-C1).

More than 3 years of accounting experience or complex reconciliations preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED

-Strong Excel skills; v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
