We are looking for a full-time Supply Chain Planning Manager to join the Supply Chain EMEA department of BU Functional Minerals (Balıkesir).

Purpose of Job: Management of the demand planning and inventory for all goods related to the allocated sites, decisions on deviations regarding the planning processes in collaboration with Production, Supply Chain Execution and Sales. Strives for the optimization of the supply chain.

Responsibilities

Essential Function 1: Demand Planning

  • Define and leads the execution of the demand planning process in the region
  • Implement continous improvements in the area of demand planning

Essential Function 2: Sales and Operations Planning

  • Coordinate DRP, MRP and RCCP (as applicable), resolve as many conflicts as possible in advance of S&OP meeting
  • Facilitate S&OP meeting and record decisions
  • Follow-up decisions made in S&OP meeting and ensure correct actions are met

Essential Function 3: Inventory Management

  • Ensure an on-going optimization of inventory levels in balance with required service levels
  • Monitors material availability, shortages and overstocks and defines and implements management strategies
  • Monitors slow moving / dead stock and works jointly with Sales to eliminate them

Essential Function 4: Supply Chain Optimization

  • Monitors and identifies opportunities for improvement of logistics costs of BU self sourced material
  • Leads projects for supply chain optimization

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Administration, Accounting or Finance. Desirable specialized education in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain roles, e.g., Customer Service, Planning, Logistics or Procurement
  • Fluent in English and German (is also preferred) written and spoken. Other languages desirable (French, Spanish)
  • Knowledge of project management, outstanding analytical skills,
  • Lean Sigma certification (Six Sigma certification is an advantage)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications, PowerBI and SAP (modules MM, PP, SD, APO)
  • Willingness to initiate and implement changes
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Living or willing to live in Balıkesir
  • No military obligation for male candidates
