PSI/Somalia has worked to measurably improve the health of Somali women and children since 2007, addressing the most serious health challenges that affect resource poor and vulnerable Somali communities.

PSI seeks an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead PSI’s supply chain related to the Damal Caafimaad Component 1: Delivery of Somalia’s Essential Package of Health Services in Nugaal, Puntland.

Responsibilities

Your contributions

  • Oversee supply chain for PSI related to the Damal Caafimaad Component 1: Delivery of Somalia’s Essential Package of Health Services in Nugaal, Puntland
  • Manage pharmaceutical and equipment procurement
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are available at the facility level
  • Ensure proper stock keeping and storage procedures are utilized at all levels, including the facility level
  • Ensure documentation of all stock movement
  • Implement asset tracking systems
  • Ensure pharmaceuticals are properly stored during transport
  • Develop Regional Health Office (RHO) supply chain management capacity

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of eight years of supply chain management experience, preferably primary level health service delivery
  • A demonstrated record of ensuring availability of supplies, preferably essential medicines in complex environments
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict-impacted, fragile settings. Experience in Somalia is strongly preferred
  • Experience developing operational and supply chain capacity in required
  • Detail oriented with excellent record keeping skills
  • Experience with transport management systems
  • Willingness to travel to a remote, rural area
  • Experience implementing and overseeing stock keeping systems
  • Qualified Somali national/ Somali Diaspora or individual already authorized to work in Somalia required
