Description

The Supply Chain engineer is responsible to plan, develop, optimize, organize, direct, manage, evaluate all the supply chains processes of the organization under the coordination of the local coordinator.

Reports to: Local Coordinator CCI ITALY

Responsabilities:

  • Basic technical skills for suppliers’ selection and proposal comparison.
  • Negotiation skills with suppliers and customers.
  • Oriented to proactively work with technical and commercial team.
  • Creation of relationship with suppliers and customers to establish long term agreement.
  • Support for technical and commercial alignment during bidding phase.
  • Planning and delivery timetables for the purchased materials and components monitoring the cost and the on time delivery of the goods.
  • Overseeing the ordering ,packaging process and deliveries of all items for final assembly/test and then final customer destination.
  • Tracking products through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination.
  • Overseeing arrival of shipment, deal with documentation needed for shipment to the final destination , typically abroad.
  • Review or update supply chain practices and quality procedures in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
  • Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
  • Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements agreed with technical team
  • ERP fill in and management of project costs and projects database
  • Negotiate prices and terms and condition with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.

Profile

  • Degree in management / logistics engineering and / or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience at least five years gained preferably in companies active in the control valves and safety systems.
  • Good knowledge of the design of production processes and Supply Chain in a key of Lean management.
  • Good knowledge of English (oral and written).
