Basic Purpose

Education Lending Operations works to approve and deny loan request, make member calls and respond to members via eMessages etc. This Summer Intern will use their experience taking/placing member calls to gain member insight and understand where we can make improvements in our day-to-day process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Maintain detailed contact history information on each member interaction and actions

take on an account

  • Respond to member inquiries received from various communication channels such as inbound

calls, faxes, letters, and online communications

  • Establish member records for non-member applicants
  • Develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures based

on experience over the summer

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree from an accredited college/university
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
  • High proficiency in the use of technology
  • Effective Organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to

achieve business objectives

  • Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to

guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Location: 5550 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $15.00 – $30.10 hourly

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
