Basic Purpose
The Real Estate Lending Strategy team is responsible for overseeing the department’s strategic roadmap and supporting initiatives that improve the member experience during the mortgage origination process. This includes managing marketing projects, new product development, and other strategic member facing projects.
The ideal candidate will be interested in collaborative work within the team and with other stakeholders throughout the department and credit union. In addition, while there will be a project deliverable, this candidate will embrace being empowered to follow their curiosity to explore all areas of mortgage lending to recommend, and possibly implement, process improvement opportunities outside the scope of their main project.
The Summer Associate Graduate Intern Program is a 10+ week graduate internship program beginning in May 2023 and ending in August 2023. The intention of this program is to hire graduate interns who prove their aptitude into full time roles following graduation. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a graduate or PhD level degree from an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023 or later.
Responsibilities
This Summer Associate will serve as a graduate-level intern working on projects still under consideration below:
- Implementing and expanding a CRM platform
- Designing a unique marketing incentive or promotion
- Evaluating SMS opportunities and strategy
- Initiatives to expand relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and builders
- Evaluate strategic planning framework and make recommendations for improvement and standardization
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing graduate degree in Business Administration or other related degree
- Strategic thinker with a natural sense of curiosity and the ability to dissect complex problems
- Intrinsically driven to produce results and improve performance by constantly iterating and soliciting feedback
- Strong written and communication skills
- Experience collaborating within a team and with other stakeholders to achieve buy-in and implement and manage change
- Experience demonstrating a high level of ability to gather and analyze facts and figures
- Experience delivering effective presentations to groups of various sizes
- Experience working on Agile teams and projects

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.
Salary Range: $41.00 – $46.00 hourly
Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. Within this range, pay will be determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, location, and market position.
