Subject Matter Experts, Macedonia
ACDI/VOCA is seeking Subject MatterExperts for an anticipated activity in Macedonia funded by USAID. The activity will increase MSMEs productivity by introducing new technologies and innovations (including digitalization), improving regional economic integration, and creating demand driven professionals, supported by easy access to affordable finance and a business-friendly ecosystem as a result of a collaborative public private dialogue.
The program is anticipated to start in 2023 and the positions are based in Skopje, Macedonia.
Responsibilities
Technical experts with essential experience in:
- Business Development Services
- SME competitiveness and development
- Access to Finance
- Investment facilitation and promotion
- Export development and trade
- Private Sector Engagement
- Gender and Youth empowerment and skills development
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
- Financial management and administration
Qualifications
While each position will have its own operational and technical scope under the activity, overall qualifications will meet the below:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the specific technical discipline (above)
- Minimum five years’ experience in the related technical area, including in the private sector
- Knowledge of and experience with USAID rules and regulations is highly desired
- Proven ability to facilitate high-value partnerships with communities, private and public-sector stakeholders
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in Macedonia preferred, knowledge of the Eastern Europe context required
- Fluency in English required
