Student Liaison Officer, ESOL (Ref: LCC3367)

The ESOL department at Leeds City College has been validated as a grade 1 department for the last four years. Our Adult provision was graded as Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2022. In 2021-22 there were over 4500 adult students and 250 16-19 learners. The team are based predominantly at the Enfield Centre, and with 16-19 (sixth form) groups in North Street, and smaller provision at Beeston, Deacon House and some outreach centres. What You Will Do

Lead on all aspects for the PDBA provision at North Street for 16-23s

Support a range of enrichment activities and opportunities to enhance students’ personal and social development.

Provide support, guidance and supervision to our 16-19 and adult ESOL learners.

Be an advocate for student voice -Lead on extra-curricular activities, including themes such as Prevent, I’m In, Staying Green, etc

YOUR PROFILE

Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant area

Experience of working with young people and adults in an education/community setting

An additional language is an advantage, particularly Romanian

An understanding of current health, fitness and wellbeing issues relevant to teenage learners

Experience of working to quality standards and deadlines
